Peer Drop In Center

A safe place to engage and build community

Our Peer Drop in Center in Anchorage is located at 1231 Gambell Street, on the second floor. The lounge is open Monday – Friday, 8 am to 3 pm and is staffed by peer support specialists.

  • Community members and new clients are encouraged to arrive before 1 pm as afternoon hours are focused on client activities

The drop-in center offers showers, laundry, food, and regular skill development and therapy groups to help clients practice life skills, coping skills, and address substance use. Peer support specialists are available to help with case management needs, and clinicians are available for scheduled or crisis appointments. Psychiatry and primary care are available on-site by appointment. The center is open to current Alaska Behavioral Health clients, and those who are interested in engaging in services and becoming clients.

The Peer Drop-in Center group schedule is flexible and adjusts to meet the needs of those in attendance on any given day. A peer-led skill building group is offered most afternoons at 1 pm.
